Dylan Riverdale is one of the few piercers well versed in piercing both male and female genitalia. An in depth knowledge of the anatomy required for genital piercings to be viable is the difference between a successful, healed adornment or potential permanent damage to sensitive tissue.
A piercing of this nature should be executed in a way that the placement, consideration of anatomy and jewelry choice provide pleasurable enhancement both visually and physically.

Nipple Piercing
A proper nipple piercing can enhance sensitivity, help push an inverted nipple outward, or serve a purely aesthetic purpose. Placement should be at the base of the papillae where it meets the areola, and the jewelry should have enough space to accommodate the nipple in its relaxed (soft) state without distortion. For this reason, captive bead rings, circular barbells and curved bars are not recommended for initial Piercing.
Clitoral Hood Piercing
Clitoral Hood Piercing is the most common female genital piercing. Commonly mistaken for, or called a, "Clit" piercing, it is actually the thin protective skin (The Clitoral Hood) that covers and protects the clitoris that is pierced, and not the actual clitoris itself. This makes a Clitoral Hood Piercing more accessible to a wider range of anatomy types, and makes execution of this piercing far less painful and than an actual Clitoris Piercing. The piercing site for a vertical hood piercing is through the apex of the hood, the bulk of the jewelry passes under the hood to rest on top of the clitoris. If the clitoral hood is less pronounced or shallow, a hoop can be positioned horizontally through the upper portion of the clitoral hood to rest on the same spot when the nerve bundle is exposed. The properly placed and sized jewelry can provide contact/stimulation.
Christina Piercing
A Christina Piercing serves a similar aesthetic as a navel piercing. It is placed low on the Mons Pubis and exits at the very top of the vulva. Its placement does not provide any stimulation or sensation benefits and should be considered only for decorative purposes. Jewelry choices range from navel bars, curved barbells to custom "J-Bend" Christina bars with decorative tops.
Triangle Piercing
Triangle Piercings are meant to pass deep through the clitoris prepuce and behind the nerve bundle (not through it). The idea is to place the jewelry so stimulation can be provided from both front and rear of the clitoris nerve, resulting in greater sensation. Experience is an very important factor with this piercing, because improper placement can result in extremely painful damage to the nerve root during execution. For those with the expertise, this piercing can be very rewarding for clients who may suffer from a less sensitive clitoris, or one that is less pronounced and veiled behind a thicker protective hood that make it hard to stimulate directly.
Labia Piercing
Labia Piercings can provide some extra sensation or stimulation during intercourse, but are mostly decorative and serve as a visual enhancement. They are also sometimes used for the purposes of bondage or chastity scenarios. Labia piercings can be performed on either the labia majora, or the labia minora, and placement varies based on anatomy and desired aesthetic. It is a straightforward and simple piercing for an experienced practitioner.
Fourchette Piercing
A fourchette piercing is placed at the bottom of the vulva, usually with a hoop where the Labia Minor meet (The Fourchette). Jewelry in a well placed fourchette piercing will rock back and forth during penetration adding to sensation and creating a unique feeling of friction for both partners. A fourchette may not be an option fo those who have undergone an episiotomy due to scar tissue, but usually larger gauge jewelry can help evade the rejection associated with soft scar tissue.
